This is a vintage 1996 Bandai Tamagotchi Gen 2 in Blue.
It has been tested and is currently working with batteries inserted.

Battery Compartment: There is evidence of battery leakage/corrosion inside the battery box. However, I have confirmed that the device still powers on and functions correctly.

Functionality: All buttons, sound, and screen are operational.
