With a very heavy heart (out of necessity, unfortunately), I am auctioning off this absolute BEAUTY of a Witcher's "tool of trade" - truly unique and special. Why? Because this is THE ONE AND ONLY 2015 "Holiday Outfit Mod Contest" Grand Prize. My online handle is "Thraxx Media" - I won this back in January of 2016 whenever the contest concluded. So the rather steep "entry fee" (for lack of a better term) is more than justified; after all, you're not just bidding on any run-of-the-mill Witcher replica... you're bidding on an actual piece of authentic CD Projekt Red history. Holding this gem, you will know where it came from, and that it has probably gone through the hands of many of the developers themselves before it eventually reached me.

The item itself is forged of steel (blunt) and in immaculate condition. Notice how you can actually tell that it's a very early "prototype" and possibly the first Witcher sword replica ever created by an official source: the pommel shows Geralt's wolfshead medallion shape (typical for steel) whereas the cross-guard is angled instead of straight (typical for silver). A true hybrid, making it all the more special.

It will be shipped to you in its original packaging box, made of wood, with remnants of the typical red & black "We Are CD Projekt Red" tape still attached. That way, you know it's authentic; nobody else in the world is using this kind of tape for shipping purposes. And before you ask: yeah, I know. The wooden box itself is not pretty. I guess CDPR just took whatever they could find and remotely looked like it could fit the bill.

This auction will likely only ever appear once, because I am frankly pressed for time; and also, it has cost me much in terms of overcoming hesitation to even put this up in the first place, since I'm an extremely passionate Witcher fan myself... so don't wait around; you probably won't get another chance like this ever again.

Achtung an alle Sammler!

Extrem schweren Herzens (leider Gottes aus Notwendigkeit heraus) gebe ich hiermit dieses absolute SCHMUCKSTÜCK eines Hexer-Handwerkszeugs zur Auktion frei - wirklich einzigartig und speziell. Warum? Weil es sich hierbei um DEN EINZIG WAHREN "Holiday Outfit Mod Contest" Hauptpreis handelt, der im Jahr 2015 im Rahmen des ersten Modding-Wettbewerbs zu The Witcher 3 verlost worden war. Mein Online-Nickname ist "Thraxx Media" - ich habe dieses edle Teil damals im Januar 2016 bekommen, als die Gewinner ermittelt wurden. Der relativ stolze "Eintrittspreis" (wenn man so sagen will) ist also mehr als gerechtfertigt; immerhin wird hier nicht auf irgend ein 0815-Replikat geboten... hier bietet man auf ein authentisches Stück echter CD Projekt Red-Geschichte. Wer dieses Schätzchen fest im Griff hält, weiß genau, woher es stammt, und dass es vor dem Versand an mich wahrscheinlich durch die Hände etlicher Entwickler bei CDPR gegangen ist.

Der Artikel an sich ist aus Edelstahl gefertigt (stumpf) und weist keinerlei Makel auf. Zu beachten ist hierbei, woran man tatsächlich gut erkennen kann, dass es sich um einen sehr frühen "Prototypen" handelt und möglicherweise das allererste Witcher-Replikat dieser Art aus offizieller Quelle war: der Knauf zeigt die Form von Geralts Wolfskopf-Medallion (typisch für Stahl), während die Kreuzstange gewinkelt ist, anstatt gerade (typisch für Silber). Ein echter Hybrid also, und damit eine Bereicherung für jede erlesene Sammlung.

Der Artikel wird in der originalen Box verschickt, in der ich ihn damals auch erhalten habe: eine solide Holzkiste. An dieser Box sind noch immer Reste des typischen rot-schwarzen "We Are CD Projekt Red" Packbands zu sehen, welches ausschließlich von CDPR verwendet wird; dadurch wissen Bieter, dass es sich um ein wahrhaft authentisches Produkt handelt, denn niemand sonst auf der Welt hat Zugang zu diesem Material. Bevor im Übrigen die Frage aufkommt: ja, ich weiß... die Holzkiste schaut ziemlich schäbig aus, ist nicht gerade hübsch. Ich nehme einfach mal an, dass CDPR einfach das erstbeste Verpackungsmaterial hergenommen hat, wovon sie damals dachten, man könne darin so einen Artikel sicher versenden.

Hach ja, polnische Mentalität... gelle? 😅

Bitte beachten: diese Auktion wird vermutlich nur ein einziges Mal online stehen und danach für immer verschwinden, da ich ehrlich gesagt etwas unter Zeitdruck stehe; außerdem hat es mich schon genügend Überwindung gekostet, das Angebot überhaupt zu erstellen... man kann sich vielleicht vorstellen, wie schwer mir das als so riesiger Witcher-Fan gefallen ist. Warten wäre hier jedenfalls die absolut falsche Strategie; das ist eventuell die einzige Chance dieser Art, die sich je bieten wird.
