An attractive antique aneroid wall barometer, believed to date from the late Victorian to early Edwardian period, circa 1890–1910.
The barometer is housed within an ornate circular carved wooden surround with a distinctive rope-twist effect, giving it considerable decorative character.
The traditional dial features atmospheric pressure graduations together with the classic weather indications Stormy, Rain, Change, Fair and Very Dry. It has a twin-pointer arrangement, with the main pointer accompanied by a manually adjustable reference pointer used to observe changes in atmospheric pressure.
The styling, construction and dial design are consistent with comparable British Victorian and Edwardian aneroid barometers.

An attractive period weather instrument that displays particularly well and would suit an antique, traditional, maritime-inspired or period interior.
In antique used condition with age-related wear throughout, including surface marks, scratches, rubbing, patination, variations to the wooden finish and other signs consistent with considerable age and previous use.
The dial displays some spotting, marks and general age-related discolouration, while the metal components show appropriate patination. Please inspect the photographs closely for the exact cosmetic condition.
