Very rare vintage 1969 BP Vickers Vimy 1:72 scale souvenir plastic model kit, produced to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Sir Ross and Sir Keith Smith's historic England to Australia flight of 1919.

This special promotional model was issued by BP in Australia in 1969 and is a particularly scarce version of the Vickers Vimy kit. The original box features dedicated BP commemorative artwork and information relating to the historic flight.

The main plastic model parts remain sealed in their original parts bag. The clear plastic display stand is open inside the box. The original assembly instructions are included and are in excellent condition for their age. No separate decal sheet is present. I have not been able to confirm that this particular BP promotional release was originally supplied with a separate decal sheet, so decals are not being described as missing.

The original box shows considerable age and storage wear, including surface wear, marks, scuffing, edge and corner wear and areas of print/paper loss. Please refer closely to the photos for the exact condition.
