I recently bought a huge laserdisc collection from a family member of the original owner. Many of his laserdiscs were either mint condition or sealed. When I asked why he never opened or watched some of them, I was told that he was very busy with work but loved collecting and enjoyed having such a large collection even if he didn't have time to watch them. They've been carefully taken care of for 30 odd years and I'm now selling titles I already have or do not need - the closest thing to stepping back into a time machine to buy them new.

- X Files Series 1 - part 1 (Japanese Box, sealed)
- X Files Series 1 - part 2 (Japanese Box, sealed)

- X Files Series 5 - part 2 (Japanese Box, sealed)

I do not believe these have ever been opened. The sellotape at both ends and in the middle appears to be factory (?) and is similar on all boxes (and identical to the sellotape on Millennium box sets listed separately, so believe they are like this from new), although a few ends have come undone slightly. Of course, all are complete with Obis. Please see photos. I doubt there is a better set available in the world or may ever come up for sale complete/sealed like this ever again?!

Plus extras:

- X Files File No. 324 Talitha Cumi (Series 3 - Part 3) (Japanese, sealed)

- X Files All Souls / The Pine Bluff Variant (Series 5 - Part 3) (Japanese, sealed)

- X Files Movie (US release, sealed)

I checked out of interest and most of these were around 30,000 yen new 30 years ago, which was equivalent to around £140 in the mid to late 1990s. With inflation, each of these would cost around £320 today (which is similar to what another seller is asking per box for brand new sealed). The total retail value of the 10 boxes here would be around £3200 in todays money (!)
