Description A superb large matching pair of English antique/vintage solid sterling silver candlesticks by the silversmiths Carrs of Sheffield (1979- 2021) in excellent clean condition and with full English silver hallmarks for Sheffield 1998. Lovely quality and a beautiful shape, they measure approx 8.2 inches (207mm) in height x 4.75 inches (66mm) x 3.75 inches across the bases, no sconces & very deep candle holes. Stunning design with fluted and beaded decoration and they weigh a very heavy approx 841 grams, (total weight including interior weighting). A really nice pair, look virtually unused and have no added personal engraved inscriptions.
Date English antique/vintage solid sterling silver with full English silver hallmarks for Sheffield 1998 (date letter "y"). Clear matching silver marks on both candlesticks and the silversmiths initials are "R C" (Carrs of Sheffield - 1979- 2021).
Condition Excellent clean condition with no repairs and no nasty knocks or dents, a really superb pair, one of the cleanest pairs I have had, a nice big size with a good heavy silver weight. They still have the original green baize covering on the underside of the bases and there are no added personal inscriptions. Honestly look very little used.
