A very sweet older children's tea set or dish Set.  Made in Japan. 

Vintage 1950s, give or take a decade...

It has some roughness from manufacture- uneven colors, bumps, and skips.  But - it also has damage from use as a toy. 

The teapot spout has chips.   The teapot lid has chips.  The sugar bowl has an ugly black crack - it is tight - but ugly.  The oval platter has chips.  The oval bowl has chips.  There are areas of paint loss and wear. 

If you want a new set - or a mint condition set - this is not for you.  If you want a set that has had a few bumps in life - but still has some life- you might appreciate this little treasure.

For scale- the lidded soup tureen is approximately 5.5 inches long x 2.5 tall.  The oval platter is approximately 6.25 inches long.  The teacups are approximately 2.5 inches across the top.
