1950-60 Ivar T Holth Norway Gilt Sterling Silver Guilloche Enamel Flower Brooch

This beautiful brooch is estimated to have been made during the mid-century era of the 1950s through 1960s. It is stamped at the rear with Ivar T Holth makers mark, alongside “925S” “STERLING” “NORWAY” for its jewellery studio, fineness of the silver and country of origin.

Ivar T. Holth established his wholesale workshop in Oslo in 1943. The company produced its signature vibrant enamel work until the early 2000s, but Holth himself passed away in 1979.

The brooch has arced flower spray design with two bright blue four petals and a white un-opened bud. It has a gilt finish and is skilfully decorated with guilloches enamelling that typifies Scandinavian, and in this case Norwegian mid-century design. The rear has a simple pin and hook hasp closure.
