Description

This is a rare pair of DIATONE P-610A vintage full-range speaker drivers manufactured around 1970.

There are no signs of solder on the terminals, indicating that the units were never installed or used. However, because the original foam surrounds had deteriorated with age, the surrounds have been professionally replaced and precisely adjusted.

The impedance characteristics were repeatedly measured during servicing to match the minimum resonance frequency and output level of both drivers as closely as possible. Measurement data is included.

Cork gaskets have been installed for an attractive front-mounted appearance. Despite their age, the frames show no noticeable corrosion, and the cones remain exceptionally clean without significant scratches or stains.

The P-610A uses a single-cone full-range design with an Alnico magnetic circuit. It provides high sensitivity and a relatively flat frequency response with minimal peaks and dips. It is suitable for custom speaker projects, including bass-reflex enclosures.
