PLANK OWNER CREST-CRAFT USA Lighter.  U.S.S. Eisenhower 1980-82 Indian Ocean(IO), Med, Caribbean, and North Atlantic, PNSY deployments.  This one is original in-the-box with lifetime guarantee  from Crest Craft.  Found in my junk box of with what was left of my old Navy stuff.  I can recall using the lighter once and then returned to box.  Any evidence of lighter fluid has long since evaporated.   Lighter original flint, wheel and wick are intact.  The lighter is pristine less one flick to light a smoke in 1980 and then went back into my sea bag.  No I am not an actual plank owner but I did serve 2 years on board the "Ike."  Several of these PO lighters survived but most of the boxes went in the trash.  The box has some wear from 50 years of storage and was only used once.  The "Ike" CVN-69 was commissioned October 18, 1977.  The bid will start at $100 for this good luck charm.
