An attractive early illustrated edition of Samuel Taylor Coleridge's Christabel, published by T. N. Foulis, London & Edinburgh, in 1909.

Illustrated by Robert Hope with beautiful period colour plates, including an illustrated title page and decorative mounted colour illustration to the front cover. A charming small-format volume typical of T. N. Foulis's highly decorative early 20th-century publications.

Condition: Antique used condition with considerable age-related wear. The covers show rubbing, marking and wear/fraying to the edges and corners. There is some age-toning and spotting internally. The binding is weak in places and has opened/separated around some of the illustrated leaves, as shown in the photographs. Please study all photographs carefully as they form an important part of the condition description.

A lovely decorative copy despite its faults, and an appealing item for collectors of Coleridge, illustrated poetry, Robert Hope or T. N. Foulis publications.
