The Beethoven Quartet, The Borodin Quartet, The Alexander Glazunov string Quartet, and others.

Every season the Leningrad State Philharmonia (Saint Petersburg Academic Philharmonia Named After D. D. Shostakovich now) has been offering a series of subscription concerts. For the 1956–57 season, the Philharmonia offered eleven symphonic subscription series in the Small  Hall.
