Medical Evacuation at Sea, 1943
A U.S. Navy PBY Catalina flying boat lands beside an American submarine to evacuate a sick submariner. Sailors carried the patient from the submarine in an inflatable boat and transferred him aboard the Catalina. These official Navy photographs were preserved in the collection of an Allied Geographical Section officer.

Vintage 1943-45 Photo from a serviceman's Australia, Papua New Guinea & Philippines collection. I have not found his name but he was with the MacArthur's AGS.
