This is a vintage ROLEX MARCONI manual-winding wristwatch with a gold-plated case and an Art Deco-inspired dial design.
The geometric and symmetrical dial features a distinctive classic appearance with strong decorative character.
The movement is believed to be based on an A. Schild mechanical ébauche, a Swiss movement supplied to various watch brands during the period.
The movement is marked ROLEX, while MARCONI markings can also be found on the movement and case back.
The exact movement caliber cannot be confirmed because modifications to the upper movement structure were sometimes made on vintage Marconi watches.
The watch has been disassembled and serviced by an experienced overseas watchmaker.
Necessary areas of the movement were serviced, and the watch is currently running.
Accuracy is within approximately five minutes per day when positioned flat, which is considered a typical range for an antique mechanical watch.
The gold-plated case, crystal, dial, and case back show age-related scratches and signs of use.
The strap and buckle are service items and are not original.
The watch dates from approximately the mid-20th century, possibly from the 1930s to 1950s.
