This SONY WM-WE01 Walkman has been tested and is in very good cosmetic and working condition. Playback, FF, REW, repeat playback, and sound output have been confirmed using both a gumstick battery and an external AA battery case.
The internal drive belt has been replaced with a new one. The belt path has been cleaned and lightly polished, and the head has also been cleaned and demagnetized.

The SONY WM-WE01 was released in 1999 as part of Sony's 20th Anniversary Walkman lineup.
This model features the distinctive "GROOVE" branding and is known as the final model in Sony's wireless Walkman series.
Since the original wireless remote control is not included with this listing, continuous reverse-loop playback is not available — the unit will switch from Side A to Side B once, then stop. Reinserting the cassette resumes normal playback operation.
This unit operates with a gumstick battery. An external AA battery case can also be used, but it is not included. Batteries are not included.
Although serviced, vintage cassette players may exhibit slight wow and flutter, speed variation, or occasional temporary instability depending on tape condition, battery performance, and environmental factors. Overall, this unit operates properly and is suitable for normal everyday listening. Please note that temporary instability may also occur immediately after inserting a new battery, or when using a partially depleted battery — for example, buttons responding inconsistently or playback not starting right away. In most cases, this resolves after pressing each button a few times with a fully charged battery installed, allowing the mechanism to settle into normal operation.
