"THE SPORTSMAN'S CABINET, OR A CORRECT DELINEATION OF THE DOGS USED IN THE SPORTS OF THE FIELD INCLUDING THE CANINE RACE IN GENERAL CONSISTING OF A SERIES OF RICH AND MASTERLY ENGRAVINGS OF EVERY DISTINCT BREED BY P REINAGLE " by William Taplin, a first edition 1804 of this excellent rare dog book, this was originally issued as a large 2 volume illustrated dog book and is one of the finest and rarest of all early English dog books, it was issued in monthly parts which in 1804 cost the very expensive price of 5 shilling each, but the monthly parts are never seen and are much rarer than the actual 2 volume book, the is part number XIII (13) which was issued on April 1st 1804 and includes the large full page plate "A Stag Hound With A Distant View Of Windsor Castle" it formed part of volume 2 and runs from page 1-24, and includes the original soft back paper binding, both the book and binding are in good condition, this is a very rare early English dog book of which we have 5 parts in total currently for sale on eBay, the part is approx. 12" x 9.5".
