Here is a book titled "Joyaux Mineralogiques du Congo".  Produced by the Generale Congolaise des Mines. Photographs by Jacques Baeke. No date of publication give but circa 1970.

11 1/2 by 9 3/4 inches. Hardback in glossy boards. French language. The book begins with a one-page introduction, followed by 30 pages of French text, each describing a mineral from the Congo. Opposite each text description is a full-page colour photographic illustration of the corresponding mineral specimen, with a sheet of coloured tissue paper guarding the text from the image.

The glossy black endpapers show some light rubbing, dust marks and a few faint, small creases from page turning. The pages are slightly age-toned but remain supple. The coloured tissue guards show occasional creasing, and an occasional guard has a tiny hole/thin spot inherent in the manufacture of the paper. Please see photographs and explore my other science books. A visually striking book with full colour images showing the beauty and variety of minerals from the the Democratic Republic of the Congo, in Central Africa.
