CONDITION: The DeVilbiss Company purchased the glass part of this beautiful perfume atomizer from Fry, added the hardware, and sold it under the DeVilbiss name. These Fry Perfumizers (perfume atomizers) were actually cut by Fry. DeVilbiss sold this atomizer as a Jade D-6 Perfumizer. This atomizer is in outstanding condition. The gold hardware is in great shape. It has a dark area at the very top which would probably clean with a good polishing. This beautiful perfume bottle is in Undamaged Condition without chips, cracks, or mold damage. The ball and cord have been replaced at some point and are pliable. The Jade glass foot is in great shape. The atomizer is unsigned. If you do not have one of these beauties in your Fry or DeVilbiss collection, this outstanding example may be what you are searching for.

The DeVilbiss Manufacturing Company was a hand decorating and finishing company that was in operation in Toledo, Ohio from the early 1900's through the mid 1950's. They are most noted for their unique designs of atomizer fittings for perfume and toilet water bottles. Glass blanks were purchased from many leading glass houses for the purpose of decorating with enamel and gold. Many items are signed with the script "DeVilbiss" name on the bottom. However, some items were only sold with paper labels. Most of these labels were destroyed through use and identifying unsigned items requires studying the unique characteristics of the hardware. Many times, perfumizers and perfume droppers were available as matched sets. Sometimes other matching accessory pieces such as puff boxes, pin trays and larger dresser trays were also available. The intricately designed atomizers and perfume bottles from the late 1920's and early 1930's are eagerly collected today.
