Playback, Fast Forward (FF), and Rewind (REW) have been tested with both a gumstick battery and an external AA battery, and all functions are working properly. Sound output is clear and stable.
The internal drive belt has been replaced with a brand new one. The belt path has been cleaned and lightly polished. The head has also been cleaned and demagnetized.
