An original Civil War Confederate document dated 1864. This document is from Cherokee County Alabama. In one area it looks like it says,....Before me E.W. Rawls Capt........Personally appeared before me William Canon.......Adaline..... a citizen of this County do solenmly sweer to the best of his knowledge and belief that the said..........Adaline......has sustained damages to the amount of one hundred.......pounds of pork, By Wheelers Cavalry Corps......... It is signed near the bottom. The document has some wear and some stain marks.
