An original World War Two related letter written on a V-mail envelope form that was written by William G. Gough Jr. who was in the 290th Infantry 75th Division. He was Killed In Action during the Battle of the Bulge on January 20, 1945 in Belgium. I currently have an item listed that shows copies of newspaper clippings and a copy of a telegram mentioning he was Killed In Action. There is also information on the internet saying he was killed at Burtonville Belgium. This letter was written to his sweetheart. It is dated Belgium Jan. 15, or possibly Jan 16. In one area he says,........The country around here sure is beautiful..........has been quite cold here........be sure to take very good care of yourself darling I'll be O.K. I hope and pray God brings us together soon.............. It has the send to address of Fair Oaks California. I currently have other items listed that belonged to this person.
The letter has some wear in areas, there are tears and areas worn off, the paper is brittle and some tears could get larger.
