An original World War Two related letter written by Dale Harder who was in the 141st Infantry Service Co. The letter is dated 1945 Buchloe Germany. In one area he says,.....seems wonderful not to have to worry about bombs, shells etc. anymore. I've had so many close calls that I for one was very happy when it ended.......work we done was very dangerous and we really............One time we were in a town and jerries were running around it.......was in the truck packing ammunition when the shells started coming.........one landed just on the other side of the truck and the blast knocked me flat on my face, how I escaped getting hit I don't know. I do know the good Lord was with me always and if I could say a million prayers of thanks to him they couldn't be enough to repay him for the comfort and protection he gave me........
The cover has the send to address of Mountain Lake Minnesota.
