I have for sale a used, unique porcelain figurine, "Squirrel" designed by Hanna Orthwein in 1956 at the Ceramics and Glass Department of the Institute of Industrial Design in Warsaw. In 1956, Hanna Orthwein designed six figurines: "Squirrel," "Dolphin (Killer Whale)," "Gecko (Lizard)," "Kangaroo," "Weasel," and "Ostrich."

In the following years, until 1960, Hanna Orthwein designed 26 more different animal figurines and one human figurine, the "Dancer." These figurines were produced at the Polish Porcelain Works in Ćmielów and at the Chodzież Porcelain Works in Chodzież.

The aforementioned "Squirrel" is one of Hanna Orthwein's first designs and also one of her most unique, as it most closely resembles the style of fairytale animals. This figurine's uniqueness is also due to the fact that it was the only one, or one of a handful, produced at the Chodzież Porcelain Factory in Chodzież.

The figurine I'm selling is in very good condition. There are no chips in the porcelain. Nothing has been glued or repaired in any way. All very minor surface imperfections are clearly visible in the photos.

Sprzedam unikatową figurkę porcelanową “Wiewiórka” zaprojektowaną przez Hannę Orthwein w 1956 r. w Zakładzie Ceramiki i Szkła który funkcjonował przy Instytucie Wzornictwa Przemysłowego w Warszawie. W 1956 r. Hanna Orthwein zaprojektowała 6 figurek: „Wiewiórka”, „Delfin ( Orka )”, „Gekon ( Jaszczurka)”, „Kangur”, „Łasiczka”, oraz ” Struś”

W kolejnych latach, do 1960 r.,  Hanna Orthwein zaprojektowała jeszcze 26 różnych figurek zwierząt oraz 1 figurkę postaci ludzkiej „Tancerkę”. Figurki te były produkowane w Polskich Zakładach Porcelany w Ćmielowie oraz w Chodzieskich Zakładach Porcelany w Chodzieży.

W/w „Wiewiórka” jest jednym z pierwszych projektów Hanny Orthwein i jednocześnie jednym z najbardziej unikatowych ze względu na to, że projekt ten jest najbardziej zbliżony stylistyce bajkowych zwierzątek. Na unikalność tej figurki ma wpływ również to że jako jedyna lub jedna  z nielicznych została wytworzona w Chodzieskich Zakładach Porcelany w Chodzieży.

Sprzedawana przeze mnie figurka jest w stanie bardzo dobrym. Nie ma żadnych wyszczerbień porcelany. Nic nie było klejone ani naprawiane w inny sposób. Wszystkie bardzo drobne mankamenty powstałe na powierzchni figurki są doskonale widoczne na zdjęciach.
