This is an original WW1 Cap Badge of the Essex Volunteer Regiment VTC. It is made by Meggy, Thompson & Creasey of Chelmsford from brass/gilded metal and is in fair condition (tarnish to rear, hence price) with holding lugs undamaged and intact.
