Antique Strook Motorobe Carriage Horse Blanket Horse Hair Quilt 1900s Rare OOAK
This item is a very rare blanket made from horse hair, originally intended for carriage rides or open-air modes of transport. Dates to early 1900s, possible late 1800s. Reversible, with one side brandishing a black and white houndstooth pattern and the other a solid, luxurious golden brown. A small logo tag in the corner. A truly unique piece!
This item shows very minimal wear, considering its age. However, it does present a few imperfections that can be viewed in the photographs provided:
-Small cluster of hair loss on the brown-colored side.
-Some fading and color bleed on the houndstooth side.
-A small area of damage on the houndstooth side, near the edging.
-The creasing of the seams is a little "off", which could probably be rectified with steaming or pressing.
-Fading / wear to the logo tag.
