An original World War Two related letter written by Winthrop Hoyt who was in the 850th Engineer Aviation Battalion. The letter is dated 1945 Germany. In one area he says,..........got about 40 prisoners too do our work............had a lot of those Heinie rilfes but always thought that shells are too hard to get at..................................
