An original World War Two related letter written by J. Herman Haines Jr. who was in the 19th Marines. This letter was sent to his sweetheart Gertrude Lenox. The letter is dated 1942. In one area he says,......On pulling into harbor instead of being greeted by some cannibals or J_ps, we got a very nice welcome by the New Zeland Army Band.........    The cover has the send to address of Boothwyn Pennsylvania.

I currently have other items listed that belonged to this individual.

The letter and cover have some wear in areas.
