The books and their contents are generally clean and well preserved. The pages and illustrations remain in attractive condition, with only minor age-related toning and handling wear.

The illustrated dust jackets show noticeable age and storage wear, including creasing, rubbing, surface marks and edge wear. Some areas have small tears, folds or losses, particularly around the spine ends and corners.

The hardcover bindings themselves appear generally well preserved. Please examine all photographs carefully for the exact condition of each volume and dust jacket. The set is sold exactly as photographed.

Comment

Daniel Wildenstein’s five-volume catalogue raisonné remains one of the fundamental reference works for the study and identification of Claude Monet’s oeuvre. The Wildenstein catalogue numbers established in these volumes continue to be cited by museums, auction houses, galleries and scholars throughout the world.

The fifth volume is especially important because it contains supplements to the paintings catalogue together with the catalogues of Monet’s drawings and pastels and the complete indexes.

An important and uncommon complete reference set for a Monet collector, art historian, museum library, gallery, auction specialist or professional art dealer.
