Here is a glass canister, similar to a Tom's or other advertising glass counter jar.  I do not have the lid, but you can find them here on ebay, or often times in thrift stores or antique stores.  This on advertises the Medical News Network, which was started in the early 1990s as an avenue to receive medical news and breakthroughs. It was very short-lived in my research.  This canister stands about 7" tall, and about 7" wide.  No chips or cracks.
