A highly decorative antique late Victorian or early Edwardian upholstered stool, featuring an exceptional spindle-gallery frame with finely turned details to all four sides.

The stool has a wonderfully elegant and unusual construction, with numerous hand-turned spindles, moulded rails and tall tapered legs. The dark wooden frame has developed a rich, warm colour and attractive aged patina, while the generously padded seat is upholstered in a traditional burgundy floral fabric.

Its unusual gallery design gives the piece far more character and presence than a conventional piano or dressing stool. It would make a beautiful addition to a bedroom, dressing room, hallway or period interior and could also be used as an occasional seat, piano stool or decorative accent piece.

The stool is very old and remains solid and sturdy. It is presented in good antique condition, displaying honest age-related wear, marks and variations throughout, all consistent with its age and history. The upholstery also shows expected signs of age, as clearly shown in the photographs.

Please study all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the description and show the condition, craftsmanship and aged character in detail.
