A true religious classic, being known as the one of, if not the first publication in Christian fiction to depict the rapture, antichrist,  and the end times of earth. A classic work of evangelical apocalyptic fiction that is a must have for collectors of similar works. This copy is the second state of the book with the only main difference from the 1st being the 1907 title page date and a paragraph being removed from the preface in which the author originally suggests the readers may find interest in his fictional rendering of the story. This paragraph was removed after the success of the 1st state and no longer feeling the need for the skepticism anymore.

Original cloth bindings with gold gilt lettering to the front board and spine. Book shows its wear a bit on the outside but for being 120 years old it holds together well and makes a great reader copy.
