Comment
An atmospheric original seascape by Hungarian painter Eugene Simon, also known as Szimon Jenő.
A grove of sunlit trees opens onto a vivid blue sea, with a small sailing boat in the distance and a solitary figure near the shoreline. The thick, energetic brushwork and luminous palette give the scene a lively plein-air quality.
The trees form a natural frame around the distant horizon, creating a strong sense of depth while retaining the decorative character of the composition. Its refreshing turquoise, green and golden tones make it particularly suitable for a bright interior.
The attribution is supported by the lower-right signature and the vintage Japanese dealer label attached to the reverse.
