$100 1863 Louisiana banknote in an envelope. I believe this is a reproduction due to the color of the ink where the note is supposed to be hand-signed. I would imagine with this much paper aging, the ink would have also been discolored by now but I am certainly not an expert. This came from a Civil War collector's estate and was in a smaller box with reproduction items and centennial novelty items. It's in an envelope that is also aged, but not as extensively, from Chello Oyster House in Conn. I found it in this envelope and will replace it and send it to you in the same one.
This bill would look wonderful framed as it does not have edge nicks or structural issues, just the rich aging of the paper.
Thanks for looking!
