Charming antique German all-bisque Mignonette boy doll from the late 19th century.
This delightful little boy doll features beautifully sculpted curly hair and an especially charming back view. The articulated arms and legs allow for a variety of expressive poses.
Made of unglazed porcelain (bisque), the doll has a delicately hand-painted face with fine details, giving it a warm and endearing expression. Such finely painted examples are becoming increasingly difficult to find.
The hands and feet are free from chips, and all original body parts are present. Complete examples in this condition are becoming increasingly scarce among collectors.
As this is a genuine antique item, it shows minor wear, small stains, and other signs of age consistent with its history.
