This is a lovely George III Period Sterling Silver Snuff Box in an Unusual Pattern which resembles a Parquetry Floor.

It is hallmarked with the assay mark for London, the date letter D for 1799, and the maker's mark of the short lived partnership between William Parker and Benjamin Simpson.

Fairly Good antique condition, just light scratches but numerous shallow bruises generally all around and one or two deeper dings around the edges. The hinge is fine, the lid closes flush, and reasonably securely. The interior gilding is very bright. The hallmarks are clear.

The box is 7.3 cm x 5.1 cm, 0.9 cm deep, and it weighs 62 g.
