This is a National RX-5600 vintage stereo radio cassette recorder from the Showa era.

Manufactured by National (now Panasonic) in the late 1970s to early 1980s, the RX-5600 is a large boombox featuring a solid, premium design and excellent sound quality typical of high-end Japanese audio equipment of its time.

With its brushed aluminum-style front panel, analog VU meters, and large built-in speakers, this model represents the golden age of Japanese vintage audio.

As these units have become increasingly difficult to find, they are highly sought after by collectors of vintage Japanese electronics and are also popular as retro home or shop décor thanks to their iconic design.
