Original vintage 1971 Zip-A-Tone “Screens Patterns” dealer sales chart and order form produced by Para-Tone, Inc.
This oversized reference chart displays a wide assortment of screen-tone patterns used by commercial artists, illustrators, comic artists, printers, and advertising designers before digital graphics became standard. Examples shown include coordinated dot screens, line screens, grids, architectural patterns, large screens, graduated screens, special dot screens, topographical designs, geological patterns, and textures.
Zip-A-Tone sheets were pressure-sensitive patterned films applied to artwork to create shading, halftones, textures, and background effects. They were widely used in commercial illustration, comic art, advertising, and print-production studios.
