A WONDERFUL early-mid 1800s, turkey red, green and cheddar, 9-block applique quilt top with a floral swag border!  I do not know the pattern name for this applique block. Strong colors.  Made by an obviously very skilled quilter.  Densely appliqued.

Construction: expertly hand appliquéd, tiny, even stitches. 

Large sized...Measures 88" by 88".  

This quilt top is a treasure. An excellent example of turkey red and green applique. Beautiful.
