Offered for auction a fabulous antique Qing Dynasty Chinese cloisonné trinket box. The lid portrays a scene of running and grazing horses by a riverbank. This is in direct reference to the Eight Noble Steeds (or Ba Jun) a highly celebrated motif in traditional Chinese art. Historically these horses belonged to King Mu of Zhou. They symbolize strength, vitality and rapid success.  A fantastic piece to add to your collection or decor. Condition as stated and depicted in our photos. Please see our photos for more details.
