Classic Suntour VX-GT long cage rear derailleur. Huge capacity of up to 34 tooth maximum teeth on the rear sprocket and total capacity of 34 teeth overall. Made in Japan in 1980. Fitted with a derailleur hanger so that you can fit this to frames that do not have a built in hanger on the dropouts.

The Suntour VX-GT is in my opinion the very best touring derailleur of the period and was used on many early mountain bikes as the derailleur was so tough and reliable. 

At the time of writing I also have the short cage version of the Suntour VX in stock.  See my Ebay shop for details. Also in stock is a similar VX GT without a derailleur hanger for frames that have one built into the dropouts.

Condition-Fully disassembled then all parts have been degreased and cleaned. The whole mech including jockey wheels,  pivot springs and all threads has then been regreased with lithium based TF2 grease. Alloy body sections and cage have been hand polished - see photos. All adjusters etc moving freely and good strong springs. I`ve fitted this one with some low mileage sealed bearing jockey wheels with very little wear to teeth. Overall a really lovely example - please see all photos.
