Hi everybody. This is a vintage 3.75" x 4.75" Congressional Club invitation card to a February 8, 1929 event with Mme. Lydia Kniagwitch speaking on the topic of lecture recital.

This invitation comes from a personal scrapbook that belonged to Clara Bird Kopp (1870-1953). She was the wife of William Frederick Kopp (1869-1938), who served in the House of Representatives as a representative from Iowa's 1st congressional district. During his tenure in Washington D.C. from 1921 to 1933, Clara collected various memorabilia and ephemera from his political career.
