The RAV4 has long been regarded as one of the best 4x4 SUVs out there - Our 2006 MK3 model is a shining example of what makes the RAV4 great. This remarkable XT-4 model of the sought after petrol model, famed for its strength and reliability, which provides it with superb performance and a smooth, relaxing drive. If you want comfort and performance with sure footed four-wheel drive ability then the Rav4 provides all of this in a neat and handsome package that is little bigger than a regular family saloon. As a result it feels a lot more nimble than larger 4 wheel drives and is easy to maneuver and park.
The cars bodywork is finished in metallic silver which looks stunning with a good shine to the metallic coachwork. The car has covered 120k miles from new and comes with a large amount of history. It still performs superbly and looks great, as you can see from the pictures!
The XT-4 specification is highly desirable, with dual-zone climate control and an electric sunroof which gives the interior an airy feel. There is a luxurious, full leather interior and the Rav4 is an accommodating car. It's comfortable and roomy interior is the perfect place to unwind whilst to the rear you have a capacious 565 litre boot with a flat floor and large side hinged door.
You may note that this is a 4 wheel drive model, with selectable all-wheel drive lock, from a dashboard mounted switch - You should be aware that not all Rav4's are 4 wheel drive, but I would recommend paying a little extra to have one that is. This car really is an absolute joy to drive - It is so easy and maneuverable and it feels strong and secure. Toyotas build quality is legendary and this car feels as though it has been built to last a lifetime.
The Rav4 is not like other 4x4s, it was designed to perform superbly on the road as well as off it. It goes, stops and handles like a regular saloon car. The ride and handling are better than most conventional sports saloons and you could happily cruise along at 70mph all day and which will provide you with a fantastic level of comfort on your journey. The driving position is excellent and visibility is superb - Its an easy and rewarding car to drive, and feels as though it has been built to last. With its superb handling and road-holding the Rav4 is guaranteed to please the keen driver, as well as those who want comfort and luxury. Well weighted steering and powerful ABS brakes ensure that no aspect of this cars drive is compromised.
Having covered 120k miles from new you would still be hard pushed to notice any sign of adverse wear on this car. The whole thing still feels tight, everything works and the performance and road-holding are fantastic. The change on the 5-speed manual gearbox feels very smooth, the steering well weighted and precise. Performance is also impressive with smooth acceleration and a reassuringly nimnle feel through the twisties that elevate it above other SUVs of this era. The Rav4 is my personal favorite car in this sector and a model that has a superb record for longevity and reliability.
