This is an empty envelope from the Gold Cord M. & S. Co. (Mining & Smelting Co.), featuring a photo of miners at work underground.  It is postmarked at Denver, Colorado on Nov. 15, 1901 and that's where the return address is, but the mines were actually in the Ten Mile District of Summit County.  Measures approx. 9 x 4 inches.
