 Super clean, little use vintage drawknife

The draw knife was recently obtained from a collector’s estate sale, where it had been well cared for, and seal for years, age is unknown

This is a vintage 9 1/2” drawknife, made by the Fisch Tool company out of Austria, not sure of era.

SUMMARY: The Fisch Tools brand is widely known for premium hand-forged woodworking tools made in Austria. While Fisch is primarily celebrated globally for their drilling and countersinking products, their Austrian-made drawknives feature hand-forged, high-grade steel hardened to Rc58-60.
*Blade Dimensions: Standard models feature a 9.5-inch blade length and a 1-inch width.
*Blade Design: They feature a slight curve for better bite control and accuracy.
*Uses: Perfect for removing large amounts of excess wood, debarking logs, and shaping chair
  spindles or shingles

 The blade is beveled, if you put a straightedge on the front side, it is gently curved with a bow downward in the middle of about a 1/16th.

The draw knife is stamped with the FISCH-AUSTRIA logo.

 The draw knife has a 9 1/2” blade, and measures 1 1/8” width in the center and has a overall width from handle to handle ends of 17 3/4”.

 The draw knife is in great condition for the era, the wood handles are solid—has a few dings and dents, and some discoloration,…..the blade was lightly used and sharpened,…..…..As with the vintage of the knife, there is some normal ware, a few dings, some discoloration, as noted from the photos.
