The 2026 Moomin's Day mug is the fourth—and final—mug in the series themed around the four seasons of Moominvalley.
It features a beautiful landscape depicted in warm, deep autumn hues.
The design draws inspiration from the 1955 comic strip *Moomin’s Winter Follies*.
In the story, the Moomin family notices the arrival of winter and begins preparing for hibernation.

Moominmamma and Moominpappa are rushing back to Moominhouse carrying armfuls of dry hay; they need the hay to wrap themselves in for sleep and spruce needles to fill their bellies.
However, in this story, Moominpappa realizes he does not have to do exactly as his ancestors did.
Feeling wide awake, he wakes his family to explore the world of winter—a place that is slightly frightening yet fascinating.

When selecting the autumnal colors for this mug, I referred to photos I had taken myself during autumn in the past. I am delighted to have captured the unique colors and atmosphere of the season.

Designing this mug was a particularly enjoyable experience. Since Moomin Arabia has rarely featured autumn motifs or designs with autumnal color palettes in the past, I was able to approach the project with a fresh perspective.
