Item Description
Overview: A rare and incredibly striking 1920s-1930s Art Deco silver-plated beverage service set by the renowned Brazilian silversmith firm, Eberle. This stunning, complete 7-piece grouping features a large water pitcher jug accompanied by a matching set of SIX coordinating tumblers. The pitcher features an integrated, geometrically pierced ice lip guard within the spout to strain cubes while pouring, an ornate cast acanthus scroll handle, and a hand-engraved floral cartouche emblem. A wonderful piece of South American metalware history, perfect for cocktail styling or vintage bar cart displays.
Dimensions:
Pitcher: Approximately 22 cm Height x 20 cm Width (including handle).
Tumblers/Cups: Each measures approximately 9 cm Height x 7 cm Rim Diameter.
Set Weight: 1270 grams (1.27 Kg combined set weight).
Distinct Markings: Stamped with the official "EBERLE" manufacturer's mark on the underside base of the pitcher.
Condition Flaws & Wear: Presented in good, honest antique condition. The structural metalwork is excellent, with all welds, handles, and rims remaining strong and stable across the entire 7-piece set. As an authentic 90+ year old barware set, there is typical cosmetic age wear present. This includes silver plate loss. Some surface scratches across the polished bodies, and expected dark tarnish / oxidation spots on the interior bases of the jug and cups from historic use. Some minor dents.
