This auction is for a used Vintage Rawhide Bosal W/ Horse Hair Mecate Reins - 0703263

No marking to indicate the maker 

Used vintage bosal with mecate reins  - I have not clean it up - bosal is rawhide  - I believe it is the old style (it looks to be rawhide braided over rawhide) - bosal is 14" long and, width is 6½" outside - nose band is 1" in diameter - mecate horse hair reins are worn down from use (diameter is 3/4") - length of the lead rope part is 112" and the rein is 100" - headstall is a light one (but on colts you don't need a heavy headstall -   so take a good look at the unit.  

Actual weight is 2 lb. 3.0 oz.

This is a Estate sale find.
