Antique Victorian Leather Photo Album Brass Clasp 34 CDV Photographs UK Portrait

Here is a French Made Antique Portrait Album with 34 CDV, carte de visite photographs. Album is pebbled Leather bound with gilt edges and Brass locking clasp hardware and monogram in gold on cover. Album dimensions are 6.5x5x2 inches. Within the album are photo pages with windows to insert the CDV cards with french maker's patent marks. Some pages hold portrait CDV images.

There are about 34 CDV portraits within the album pages of well Dressed Men woman and children. Most of the individuals are not identified. Photographer info in back of the cards indicate London, Birmingham and Cardiff origins. Cards fit tightly in album pages so only removed a few to obtain some details. Album was obtained by current owner's family in London in 1970's for £48. I have not pictured all the photos but have presented a representative sampling of images and backs. 

Album is in very good condition. Leather is in good condition, binding is tight, hardware works well.  There are no marks or writing within.  Some of the paper pages show wear from insertion and removal of photos.  Photos are very clean and reflect years of careful storage withing the album.
