5 3/4 by 4 1/4 inches. 35 pages. 3 plate illustrations, including frontispiece, and 2 in-text vignette illustrations. Hardback in brown textured paper coated boards with a black illustration of the front board, and a brown cloth spine. 

There is some wear and small frays to the cloth spine, bumping and wear to the board corners, and some light soiling and marks to the boards. There are a few small marks to the endpapers, the rear of the front free endpaper and to the quote page at the beginning.There are some bottom foredge corner creases to four pages, and some slight corner bends at the top of some pages. The worst of these creases is to the bottom corner of page 28/27, please see photograph. 

A wonderful scarce 1930's travel size guide to The Elephanta Caves, a collection of cave temples predominantly dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva; now designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. They are located on Elephanta Island, or Gharapuri, in Mumbai Harbour, 10 kilometres (6.2 miles) east of Mumbai in the Indian State of Maharashtra.
