Pictured is a Vintage Anthropomorphic Chambri Wood Fired Polychrome Earthenware Damarau. Wood fired clay vessel with a polychrome sculptural face on opposite sides of the vessel. These jugs or jars were used to store smoked sago. Areas of natural clay and fire markings throughout. Please note this piece has a missing section of the face on one side. It had various other small chips throughout. There are no signs of repair.
